I don't cut for the pain
or to watch myself bleed
I cut just to cut
so stop bothering me
at first it was simple
to prove I still feel
leaving scars can remind you
almost everything heals
you punish yourself
over things you can't control
a sharp blade can't cut
what a duller blade will
over an over
the same spot 'til it bleeds
move on to the next
and repeat the same thing
all the cuts start out small
as you move down your arm
when they get to your wrist
people gasp in alarm
these particular cuts
are deeper than the rest
and are what got you sent
to undergo psychological tests
cutting is soothing
and let's you know you're alive
just don't cut too deep
or it will be the last time
